What a Week!

Well, it's been a busy week. Lots of new things going down in our household these days. First off......Daddy got a new job so we're moving again in the next 4 weeks!!! This time it's going to be semi-permanent....well, whatever that means to a family in today's society! As for the little guy...he's been discovering new things as always.
First...the strangest occurrence during nap time. Josiah was asleep on our bed with a pillow barrier. Then, I entered the room and had quite the shock. I thought he was about to fall into the nook between my night stand and the bed but as I caught my breath I realized.....NO ONE WAS MOVING!!! This is what I found. A little boy, sound asleep with half his body on the bed and half off. Yes, his feet are about 6 inches off the ground!!! It sure was a sight to see. When I picked him up, he didn't even blink. The boy was out! Close call! To say the lease, that was the last nap he took on our bed!
Next, our little explorer followed daddy to the wood stove and had a lesson in fire building. Hmmm...good idea???? I think this may come back to haunt us in the future!
Whew! What a week!

Family Life News

There were some very significant changes that took place in our lives over the past few months. We want to update you all on them so here it goes

1-July 26th, Our precious Cody dog passed away after a 2 day camping trip. He was a great dog (Justin had him since he was 13yrs old) who is missed very much...especially on rainy days like today.

2-July 27th - We buried Cody and got a 30 day notice to move out of our current home. Our landlord was returning and wanted to place for herself. So, in approx. 2 weeks we packed up and moved 45 min outside of town up the river. We've been living there since in a little one bedroom cottage. It's beautiful.

3- Aug 1st. Justin ended his job in town as a security guard and went to work for his dad up river building wooden drift boats.(www.mckenzieriverdriftboats.com) And, with our move up river he only needed to walk outside our door, across the lawn and into the boat shop everyday for work. Quite convenient.

4-Nov. 4th ---JOSIAH CRAWLS EVERYWHERE!!!!!

Thats it for now:)

The trophy catfish

How can I go on with life without sharing the greatest accomplishment of my husband and father????

oh how proud I am. What amazing men:) Yes, it is true....this photo is of the catfish my Justin & Dad caught in the Wisconsin River. They struggled, they fought, they persevered, and they conquered. All for the glorious recognition one receives when accomplishing such a feat. Ahhh sweet success. Isn't she a beauty! Or are my eyes not working...... This was the ugliest fish I'd ever seen....but it was really good in my tummy. However, the thought of actually eating something that looks like that still makes me quiver.I CALL HER BERTHA

Trip to Wisconsin

In October Josiah went on his first family vacation. We had the wonderful experience of spending two whole days in airports all over the country. What fun. Mom and Dad learned some valuable tips about traveling with children......PACK LIGHT.
Here is Josiah and Daddy looking out of the plane window. up up and away.......

In Wisconsin Grandma and Grandpa had a comfy place for us all to stay. Grandma turned Mommy's old room into a fun Sesame Street nursery for Josiah. What fun.

We went to take in the beauty at Devil's lake

Grandma and Josiah enjoyed walks in the wagon

And before we ended our vacation Josiah took his first four legged steps for mankind....right in front of Grandma and Grandpa. What a treat.
